DOMESTIC VIOLENCE NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY

Our goal is to survey 100 women currently living in and recent history of domestic violence for needs, community resources, women mentoring needs, community resources, mental health needs to health from emotional trauma, social support and living essentials (food access, home management resources, pharmacies, grocery stores) to provide relief.

Our Services

H.O.T. Hear Our Tears invites the community to the monthly meetings where victims can share, listen, learn, heal and plan together. The need for a place to express feelings and uncertainness is important to the healing process. H.O.T, Hear Our Tears continues to apply these techniques to reduce fatalities.  We know that 81% women who experience rape, stalking, or physical violence by an intimate partner reported significant short or long term impact such as low self-esteem, depression, post - traumatic stress disorder symptoms and injury. Together H.O.T. can help break these cycles of violence and help start building resilience into a new self.

In 2019, we were donated with the H.O.T Domestic Violence Safe Home. It is a welcoming place for women who have experienced domestic violence and need a home to stay in. The house currently needs donations for major repairs and upgrades. Please donate and support the Safe Home to aid women who need a home.
